Delete Your Winner Dinner Account
This page explains how to request deletion of your Winner Dinner account (the Winner Dinner app by Sami Prehn) and what happens to your data when you do.
How to delete your account
Fastest way: sign in to Winner Dinner (app or website), scroll to the bottom of your dinner-party list, and tap Delete account. Deletion is immediate and self-serve.
Or request deletion by email
- Email sami.prehn@gmail.com with the subject "Winner Dinner account deletion request" — or just tap the button below, which fills the email in for you.
- Send the email from the same Google account email you use to sign in to Winner Dinner, so we can verify the request is really from you.
- You'll receive a confirmation reply when deletion is complete. Requests are completed within 30 days.
Data that is deleted
- Your account profile: name and email address
- Your votes in all dinner parties
- Your membership and display name in all dinner parties
- Your list of joined parties
- Your push notification device tokens
Data that is kept
- Dinner parties you created or joined remain available to their other members — but with your name, votes, and membership removed. Party names and restaurant lists are group content and are not deleted with your account.
- Your deletion request email is retained as a record that the deletion was requested and completed.
There is no other retention period — everything listed under "Data that is deleted" is removed within 30 days of your request, with no additional copies kept.
Deleting some data without deleting your account
You can remove your data from a single dinner party without deleting your account: open Winner Dinner, and on the home screen tap the trash icon on that party and confirm. This removes your votes and membership from that party immediately.
