Privacy Policy

Winner Dinner · Effective June 10, 2026

Winner Dinner helps groups of friends agree on a restaurant. This policy explains what information the app handles and why. It applies to the Winner Dinner website and mobile apps.

Information we collect

• Account information. You sign in with Google. We receive your name and email address from your Google account.
• Dinner party data. The party names, restaurant lists, and votes you and your friends create in the app.
• Approximate location. Only if you use the Nearby, Cuisine, or Search features, your device location is used to find restaurants around you. It is sent to Google Places to perform the search and is not stored.
• Push notification tokens. If you allow notifications in the mobile app, a device token is stored so other members of your parties can notify you of matches and updates.

How we use it

Solely to run the app: showing who is in a dinner party, computing matches, finding nearby restaurants, and sending notifications about activity in your parties. We do not sell your data, show ads, or share your information with anyone beyond the service providers below.

Where it lives

Data is stored in Google Firebase (authentication and database) and encrypted in transit. Restaurant searches are processed by the Google Places API. Nothing is stored on our own servers.

Deleting your data

Leaving a dinner party removes your votes from it. To delete your account and all associated data, email sami.prehn@gmail.com from the address you signed in with, and it will be removed within 30 days.

Children

Winner Dinner is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated effective date.
